isLeapYear()

The isLeapYear() function checks if a date value equates to a date that falls in a leap year.

Usage

import { isLeapYear } from '@spa-tools/utilities';

const leapYear = new Date('2020-01-01');
console.log(isLeapYear(leapYear));
// --> true

console.log(isLeapYear('2021-12-31'));
// --> false

Arguments

Returns

boolean - If value of date equates to a date that falls in a leap year then returns true else returns false.
